Wendy Wu Tours has extended its free flights offer to Japan after seeing a surge in bookings from agents.
The original one-week promotion, which offers savings of up to £800pp for group tours to Japan in 2021 and 2022, was due to end on Wednesday (14 October) but has now been extended to 31 October.
John Warr, global sales director at Wendy Wu, called the promotion an “absolute runaway success” and has been the operator’s most successful offer so far.
“We’ve been inundated with agents asking us to extend the offer beyond the initial seven days and so we’re now extending this once in a lifetime offer until the end of October,” he added.
“This is a win-win for agents. Average commission levels for a Japan booking are £1,400, as we pay commission on the whole value of the booking, and so we’re advising agents to really make this offer work for them by proactively going out to their customers with the offer.”
The free flights offer applies to tours to Japan departing from February to November in both 2021 and 2022. It covers departures from all UK airports and with all airlines.
Wendy Wu has seen strong demand for Japan so far in October, with 72% of its revenue coming in for the destination this month, including strong growth from single travellers since launching dedicated solo departures.
